Devils Bowl Speedway (Mesquite)

Andy Shouse, No. 27, had a good run Sunday night at the Devils Bowl Speedway Sprint Car Nationals. Andy lead several laps of the $2,000 to win, 30-lap, South Dallas Battery & Exchange IMCA RaceSaver Sprint feature. Dalton Stevens, No. 99x, who started fifth, managed to get past Andy and hold him off for the exciting Sprint Car Nationals feature win. Chad Wilson, No. 20, settled for third, Raven Culp, No. 3, was fourth and Kevin Ramey, No. 7m, was fifth. Robert Vetter, Larry Long, Marcus Thomas, Martin Edwards, and John Ricketts, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-cars started the feature.

USA Modified Feature Winner: Friday night at the RPM Speedway, veteran Troy Taylor, No. 56, defeated Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88xxx, by a nose to take the USRA Modified feature, Sunday night at the "Bowl", Clyde returned the favor. Troy Taylor, had a great run, but with three laps to go, Taylor got caught up in some lap traffic, which opened the door for Dunn Jr. to shoot past him for the lead in the 15-lap, $600 to win A-main. Chad Ewell, No. 7jr, was third, Michael Grubbs, No. b23, was fourth, and Trent Dorman, No. 36t, was fifth. Joseph Kasper, Greg Teske, Jason Sartain, Wendall Bolden, Jason Hammond, Jack Sartain, and Charlie Smith, rounded out the field. Twelve cars started the feature.

Walt's Automotive Supply USA Limited Modified Feature Winner: There was a good battle up front in the Limited Modified feature with Bo Day, No. 4x, taking the lead. Bo held off the field for the $700 win. Tom Lorenz, No. 84, was second, Ronnie Sigman, No. 25c, was third, Chris Tarrant, No. 72, was fourth and Jason Bolden, No. 77b, was fifth. Randy Kirkland, Rick Murray, J.V. Flores, Tim Henderson, and Ricky Brewer, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Jeff Sonntag, No. 73, managed to work his way past Bo Day, No. 4, for the $500 feature win. Chris Davis, No. 98, was third, Mark Ross, No. 8r, was fourth and Mike Smith, No. 21m, was fifth. Jason Gamez, Tommy McKinley, Wesley Staggs, Wes Milliorn, and Jimmy Criswell, rounded out the field. Ten cars started the feature.
