Heart O Texas Speedway (Elm Mott)

The North Texas Mod Lites made their first appearance of the season at Heart O Texas Speedway Friday night. The field was a little light, with only eleven cars in attendance, but the cars that were there, put on a great show. Kyle Jones, No. 85, who spun out earlier in the feature race, managed to come from the back of the field and pass David Garland, No. 65, on the last lap, to take the exciting feature win. Garland ended up second, Mitchell Clement, No. 32, had a good run, but finished third, Danny Rogers, No. 02, was fourth and Kaden Honeycutt, No. 34, was fifth. Prejean, Tonnell, Langley, Moore, Hamilton, and McCoy rounded out the field. Eleven cars started the feature.

IMCA Modified Feature Winner: Once Kevin Green, No. 5, got by Justin Radcliff, No. 11j, he was off to the races. Justin Radcliff settled for second, Dwayne Grantham, No. 27g, was third, William McGuire. No. 9, was fourth and David Goode, No. 13g, was fifth. McCoy, Spillman, White, Frydrych, and Banker rounded out the top ten. Nineteen cars started the feature.

IMCA SportMod Feature Winner: Will Carter, No. 8c, was the feature winner. Jeff Sheppard, 17, was second, Chris Florio, No. 21, was third, T.J. Green, No. 5, was fourth and Paul Scrivner, No. 14, was fifth. Rawls, Holder, Williams, S. Goode, and T. Florio, rounded out the top ten. Seventeen cars started the feature.

IMCA Stock Car Feature Winner: Benji Kirkpatrick, No. 4725, was involved in a wreck on the first lap. It took him nineteen more laps, starting from the back of the field, but Benji took the checkered flag for the win. Eric Jones, No. 84x, the Hard Charger, was second, Dillion Smith, No. 03e, was third, Brandon Hood, No. 3a, was fourth and Greg Andrews, No. 168, was fifth. Delevan, Harper, Spillman, Batt, and Blackwood, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Hobby Stock Feature Winner: Shannon Dulock, No. 47, was the feature winner. Kevin Smith, No. 57, was second, Jeremy Oliver, No. 82, was third, Hayden Wade, No. 8w3, was fourth and Joe Williams, No. 32, was fifth. Bice, Warren, Kuhnau, Brunson, Sodek, Kornegay, and Underwood, rounded out the field. Twelve cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Robert Scrivner, No. 22, was the feature winner. Kyle Wilkins, No. 7mk, was second, Jamie Herring, No. 222, was third, Rick Morosky, No. 88, was fourth and Chris Richardson, No. 8, was fifth. Fikes, Guenat, Wade, Hauser, and Bates, rounded out the top ten

Jr. Mini Stock Feature Winner: Jake Copland, No. 9, picked up another feature win. Colton Rawls, No. 08, was second, Raymond Morgan, No. 6, was third, Bradly Warren, No. 34w, was fourth Jake Smith, No. 26, was fifth and Austin Phelps, No. 26, was sixth.
The racers and the fans paid their respect to long time racing enthusiast Elmer Shepherd who passed away recently.
